What is an Expert?

Experts are vetted medical professionals and researchers here in the Kopa community. Experts can share information about the management and treatment of symptoms and the mental health impacts of living with a chronic condition or other health concerns. All Experts on the site have been approved by Kopa to ensure they have the proper credentials and expertise in the areas of general health, mental health, women’s health, neurology, rehabilitation, rheumatology, obstetrics, pediatrics, nutrition, dermatology, and other specialities useful to our members. While our Experts are not able to provide members with medical advice, they can offer insights and learnings to help our members better manage their health.

What is a Community Champion?

Community Champions are people Kopa has partnered with to make the experience on our site and app even more engaging and helpful for others. Community Champions welcome newbies to Kopa, answer questions, provide support, and share their own experiences.

How do I join a new community?

You get to choose exactly which Kopa communities you’d like to be a part of. Just click or tap “Explore” and then select “Communities.” Then use the buttons to join the communities that interest you. In your feed, you’ll see posts and content from all the communities you’ve joined and nothing from the ones you haven’t joined.

What is Happify?

You’ll see that the activities, meditations, and games on Kopa are powered by Happify Health. Many of these have been created especially for Kopa communities, but we’ve also curated a diverse selection of activities, meditations, and games from our sister app, Happify. Happify has more than 3,000 science-based games and activities to help people reduce stress, overcome negative thoughts, and boost confidence. Happify also has over 75 tracks covering topics like how to reduce stress and anxiety, build optimism and mindfulness, and achieve your goals. What browsers and operating systems do you support?

Account and Emails

I lost/forgot my password. Help!

You can reset your password by going to the Kopa app or Kopa.com and clicking Login. Then choose "Forgot Password?" and enter the email address you used to sign up for Kopa. You should receive an email to reset your password. If you do not receive the reset email in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder. Still can't find it? Contact support@kopa.com

How can I manage how I get notified about updates on Kopa?

You can change your notification settings at any time by clicking the Profile icon—it’s at the top right of the screen on the website and at the bottom right on the app. Then, select "Settings" and choose either Push Notifications (these are only in the app) or Email Notifications and toggle left or right to turn them off or on.

Is there an option to unsubscribe from emails?

You can unsubscribe from Kopa emails by clicking or tapping the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email you receive from Kopa.

Why am I not receiving emails from Kopa?

If you're a Kopa member and not receiving emails, there’s a good chance that the emails are getting sent to your spam/junk folder. Check your spam/junk folder, and mark any emails from Kopa as "safe" or "not junk." You may also want to double-check your Kopa email notification settings using the directions above to make sure they're turned on.

How do I delete my account?

You can close your account at any time by emailing support@kopa.com to request that your account be deleted. After confirming you'd like to delete your account, your request will be processed in 1-3 business days.

Who can see my profile?

Members in the community can see your profile to learn more about you and connect! Your username, profile photo, and About section will be visible to other members, so please share as much or as little as you feel comfortable!

What happens with the information I share on Kopa?

Details you share about yourself when you sign up for Kopa (such as your location, health information, and treatment history) will only be visible to you. The information you share on your profile—your username, profile photo, and About section—will be visible to other members. Any posts or comments that you make will also be visible to other members. Information you provide when using Health Tools (like the Daily Stress Tracker or Symptom Diary) are private to you and won’t be visible to the rest of the community.

Why do I need to enter my ZIP code?

Kopa is intended for people living in the United States. By entering a valid U.S. ZIP code, you’re acknowledging that you’re based in the U.S.
